Deep Water Aerobics

Wildwood is offering deep water aerobics classes to members 14 YEARS AND OLDER taught by professional instructor Jennifer Eskandari. We are offering classes on different days of the week at different times to meet a variety of schedules.

This class will be held in the deep (dive) well and requires that students bring their own equipment:

  • Any size pool noodle. Thickness may vary, so pick one that you want to push and pull in the water.
  • Aquatic Exercise Dumbbells (example) These come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and can vary with the “weight” (aka buoyancy). Anyone with a history of shoulder issues should consider getting lighter.
  • A flotation belt (example, example, example)

Because students will be using assistive floatation devices, you do not have to be a strong swimmer to enjoy this low-impact, total body workout.

Classes will be offered in throughout the summer at the following times:

  • Mondays at 7 PM (June 1, 8, 15, 22 | July 6, 13, 20, 27 | August 10, 17, 24, 31 | September 7)
  • Thursdays at 7 PM (May 28 | June 4, 11, 18, 25 | July 9, 16, 23, 30 | August 13, 20, 27 | September 3)
  • Sundays at 5 PM (September 13, 20, 27)

Each session is 50 minutes long.

Choose as many sessions as you want for $10 per session. Each member of a household participating in water aerobics must have their own enrollment. Sign up is required in advance; this is not a drop-in class. Sessions will be subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment has not been met 72 hours before classtime.

Makeups may be offered in case of pool closure (i.e. thunderstorms).

Cancellation Policy: A member must give at least 4 days notice to be refunded their class fee (minus the processing fee). If the class is canceled (i.e. pool closure due to thunderstorm), the member will have the option of scheduling a make-up class or receiving a credit back to the their account as a discount against next year’s dues.

Guest policy: A member enrolled in this class may enroll a non-member (guest) to attend with them ($10 per person), and the purchase of a guest pass ($10 per pass) to enter the pool is also required, for a total of $20 per guest.
